Publicis Toronto hires senior leadership across multiple departments following win of Rogers

Publicis Toronto announces a series of hires following the recent gain of Rogers creative and CRM assignment. The new hires will form the Rogers Leadership Team as the agency welcomes new talents to its creative, strategy and CRM departments.

First, Publicis sees the arrival of Ngaio Potts as SVP, Brand Director, following her tenure as National Managing Director at The&Partnership and VP Group Account Director at Leo Burnett Toronto. Additionally, Ian Simpson and Catherine Allen are appointed Group Creative Directors. Both Ian and Catherine bring experience from Ogilvy, where they held similar roles.

“Working on Rogers is a wonderful opportunity for any strategist and creative, and I’m proud to lead this account for Publicis Toronto, “said Ngaio Potts. “With the dynamic, innovative teams and minds we have assembled, I am confident we can push our limits and deliver great results”.

Another addition includes Tim Hopkins as VP of Strategy. With extensive experience in advertising and marketing across Canada, the UK, and globally, Tim has worked with iconic brands in telecommunications, luxury, automotive, and more.

Leading the CRM team, Andrea Barrett steps in as VP, CRM. She boasts over 15 years of expertise in leading integrated marketing campaigns from both agency and client perspectives.

“We’re immensely proud to serve as the AOR for such an iconic Canadian brand,” said Brett McIntosh, President of Publicis Toronto. “Welcoming Rogers to our roster of clients opens doors to new creative and strategic possibilities. With these new hires, our teams are now equipped with fresh perspectives, ideas and insights to continue delivering top-tier campaigns and forward-thinking solutions”.

Another example would be how we worked with Tilray’s RIFF brand to use AI to help customers pick between their various strains. We did this by transforming the formulas of RIFF’s most popular cannabis products – the strain, THC levels, terpenes, and plant type – into AI prompts. Then, when our AI was feeling it, we asked it to make us some beautiful posters with a sunset theme. So, customers could see a visual representation of the type of high they might enjoy.
